LATERAL SE TORNA UM DRAMA

O coletivo do Flamengo, em especial o ótimo setor ofensivo armado, tem trabalhado em perfeita sintonia, mas as laterais estão destoando. Rodinei foi um fator importante. Entrou bem no segundo tempo e se agregou ao ataque, dando mais poderia ofensivo. Contudo, Pará e Renê ainda devem muito. Decisões erradas, seja na marcação ou no ataque, tem sido uma verdadeira dor de cabeça.

FATOR VINÍCIUS JÚNIOR

O garoto está mais do que iluminado neste início de temporada. Entrou na vaga de Paquetá, recuando Everton Ribeiro de vez, e infernizou a defesa do Boavista. Bem postado, o time de Saquarema se desmantelou com a velocidade e habilidade impostas pelo garoto na partida. Ele é opção fundamental para elenco. Seja como titular ou entrando, tem sido o grande desafogo.

BOLAS AÉREAS SÃO ARMAS

O Flamengo também utilizou muito do jogo aéreo. Com a chegada de Henrique Dourado, o time ficou mais forte ainda nesta situação e o Ceifador é sempre o alvo a ser procurado. Diante do Boavista levou perigo em algumas oportunidades, mas não balançou as redes. Réver também foi perigoso, tanto que participou do gol que abriu o caminho para a conquista.

He said: “Look, I mean you can accept it. But if you’re going to go out there and get somebody with the same quality and love from the fans, firstly, they’ve got to earn that love, which Saint-Maximin has done.

“Secondly, he has put in the performances and been a talisman for a number of years now. £50million is not going to buy you a player of that quality, I don’t believe.

“Then you’d have the backlash from the fans. I’m very sure that they won’t see this as a positive. This is not what they expect after the consortium’s takeover of Newcastle.

“They thought they’d be spending £50million, not bringing in £50million by selling one of their best players.

“Saint-Maximin, for me, is one of these players that’s just unsellable right now to Newcastle, on many fronts. Shirt sales, fanbase and what he brings out there on the field.

“I’m sorry, but I just feel that’d be ridiculous business by Newcastle’s board.”

The Verdict: Hard to replace

As Whelan says, the Newcastle board could scoop a healthy £50m for Saint-Maximin in the summer, but the Frenchman would be very hard to replace.

He has been a mainstay in the team all season, with five goals and three assists in the Premier League so far (Transfermarkt).

Moreover, he currently ranks as the Magpies’ second-best performer in the top flight, and no team-mate comes close to his six man-of-the-match awards (WhoScored).

The 25-year-old also averages more shots and dribbles per game than any of his team-mates, so £50m may not even be enough to replace the quality that he possesses and his overall importance to Eddie Howe’s team.

The BCCI, at its annual general meeting on September 29, issued an ultimatum to the franchise owners, asking to register themselves as a company or risk being scrapped. The franchise, BCCI president Shashank Manohar said, had split into two factions, making it difficult for the board to negotiate with one legal entity.”All the team owners have been invited for the talks and they have promised to come,” KCA President TR Balakrishnan told . “The owners have not registered the company under the Companies Act so far and there are certain internal issues between the different owners. So KCA has initiated steps to bring them together for the talks.”The BCCI is expected to formally issue the show-cause notices to Kochi soon and IPL chief executive Sundar Raman said that the franchises would have between ten days and two weeks to reply.Rendezvous Sports World, a consortium of five companies, bid US$333.33m to successfully purchase the tenth franchise in an expanded fourth edition of the IPL.
